Ever wondered how much you’d need in order to spend a few days in Breckenridge on an extremely limited budget? What we have below is a feature of some of the cheapest deals you’d find in the resort.

The text covers what we’ve seen as the cheapest in lodging, dining, ticket purchases, and ski equipment rentals; practically everything you would need to know to survive a day in Breck if cost is the biggest issue to you. Here, we don’t consider service or other fancy features; just being the cheapest in town.

Where to get the cheapest lodging

After some scouting, we’ve found the Fireside Inn among the cheapest lodging deals in the resort. It is found 2 blocks from Main St., the center and historical hub of Breckenridge. It is also just a short shuttle ride away from the BreckConnect Gondola which would take you to the base portions of Peak 7 and 8. The shuttle ride is free so you don’t have to spend anything for fare.

As for the accommodations, while there are suite rooms with private bathrooms in this inn, we’re assuming you’d be more interested with the cheapest. Hence, what we’d recommend is the dormitory-type facility which will only cost you $28 a head.

The room is situated in the attic, holds 10 beds, and has a great view of the ski area. With this deal, you’ll have to share practically all of the amenities with other guests. This would include shower rooms, a living room with a fireplace and flat screen TV, a breakfast room, hot tub, and a storage area. There is also a refrigerator and a microwave oven if you would like to prepare your meals yourself.

Where to get the cheapest food:
If you’re up to a 12 minute walk from Fireside Inn, you can find the cheapest dining deals at Breckenridge Brewery. They specialize in American cuisine, with prices ranging from $21 to $30 per meal. You might want to try their Brewery Wings, an $8.95 appetizer composed of 8 spicy wings. If you’re here for a quick bite, their ½ pound fresh beef grilled Brewhouse burger, at $8.50, is the Brewery’s special.

Breckenridge Brewery is amazing

Here you’ll get a taste of different types of beers. One of the highly recommended is the spinach beer dip with pretzels. You might also want to sample their microbrews.

Where to find the cheapest ski rentals:
The cheapest ski equipment rentals can be found in Main Street Sports, which is a good 9 min walk from Fireside Inn. This family-owned shop has been around since 1991. You’ll be sure to get expert skiing advice tips here because all members of the family are veteran skiers. They can recommend the best ski clothing and equipment as well as point out where the best powder can be found.

The shop specializes in the latest Spyder apparel and is in fact home to the largest selection of Spyder ski wear in all of the Colorado Rockies. In case you’re still a newbie in the sport, you might want to know that Spyder boasts of the most technically advanced clothing for the slopes.

They also rent out top quality snowboards. To give you an idea of the price range, skis, boots, and poles cost $26. That should already be good for 1 to 2 days. Snowboards, on the other hand, cost $27 per 1 to 2 days. These are definitely one of the cheapest deals in Breckenridge.

The places mentioned above might not be able to provide you with the best service and products in Breckenridge but they’re sure to give you the cheapest deals in town.
